One of the reasons we love living in Placer County is the amazing local restaurants owned by incredible and hard working small business owners. I recently learned that shopping and dining local supports our communities much more than shopping online or at large chains. In fact, a study found that for every dollar spent at a locally owned business, 45% of the revenue stayed directly within the community and another 9% was spent within the state. In contrast, when you shop at big box retailers, only 14% of each dollar spent goes back to your community, mostly in the form of employee payroll. We feel extremely lucky to live in a community that truly makes an effort to support locally owned small businesses and are grateful for all of you.
With that being said, many of you have asked where you can enjoy Rancho's wine when dining out, and we have an answer! We partner with locally owned small businesses to carry our wines. Below is a list of where you can find our Rancho Barbera wine at some of our favorite restaurants in Placer County.
RANGE Kitchen & Tap- Roseville: RANGE, or "The Range", is redefining rustic American cuisine. With locally sourced ingredients, the Range offers seasonal comfort food. Their large
outdoor patio offers a casual and fresh atmosphere. Some of our favorite dishes here include the Mac N' Cheese, the Range Burger, and the Bacon & Artichoke Dip. Don't forget to ask about their special of the week- you'll thank us later. The Range is currently open for outdoor seating and take-out. They carry our 2017 Adventure Barbera.
Old Town Pizza- Lincoln: If you're craving pizza, it doesn't get much better than Old Town Pizza. A local staple, Old Town Pizza offers a diverse pizza menu with some of the best specialty pizzas we've ever tasted. Some of our favorites include the Choo Choo Chicken (creamy white garlic sauce, chicken breast, garlic, mushroom, and yellow onion...drool!) and their vegetarian pizza.
If you are gluten-sensitive or intolerant, they offer Cauliflower Crust Pizzas, which are much better than your typical gluten-free crust pizza. OTP serves our 2018 Friendship Barbera. Buonarroti Ristorante- Lincoln: Owned by the talented Chef Daniel Alcantaro, Buonarroti known for its is mouth-watering, classic Italian food. They have an updated outdoor patio for a truly European "al fresco" dining style. Their dishes pair perfectly with our Italian style Barbera wines.
Some of our favorite dishes at Buonarroti include the homemade lasagna (available Wednesdays), Chicken Picatta, and Deep Fried Ravioli. Support this Lincoln staple by dining outdoors or ordering take-out for a delicious date night in. Buonarroti serves our Friendship 2018 Barbera.
